World Diplomacy Summit Follow-Up Session Scheduled for 17 October 2026 in Kinshasa

A new chapter following the World Diplomacy Summit

Following the World Diplomacy Summit, held in Kinshasa from 9 to 11 September 2026, FIJADA-Afrique will organise an official follow-up and outcomes presentation session on Saturday, 17 October 2026, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This gathering will build on the discussions initiated during the Summit. It will provide an opportunity to present the main conclusions, recommendations and perspectives emerging from the proceedings while continuing the conversation on diplomacy and Africa's development.

Reviewing the Summit's discussions and recommendations

Held under the theme “DR Congo, the Heart of Africa: Contemporary Diplomacy as a Lever for Promoting Sustainable Development”, the World Diplomacy Summit provided a platform for discussing the role of diplomacy in shaping a sustainable future for Africa.

The follow-up session will revisit the main contributions made during the three-day gathering, particularly those concerning contemporary diplomacy, international cooperation and sustainable development.

It will also offer an opportunity to strengthen connections among participants and explore new possibilities for collaboration.

Turning ideas into meaningful action

For FIJADA-Afrique, an international gathering achieves its full purpose when the ideas exchanged can be shared, further developed and progressively translated into concrete initiatives.

This follow-up session therefore represents an important step towards ensuring continuity in the Summit's work and sustaining the momentum for dialogue established in Kinshasa.

African youth have an essential role in this process. They must have opportunities to participate in discussions shaping the continent's future and contribute to initiatives that advance cooperation, peace and development.

The Summit opened the dialogue.

The follow-up session will carry it forward.
